Sigillum S has a long history that includes many genres they have blended into their dark ambient/experimental music. I was not sure if this would have any of their guitar- or synth- oriented tracks (they covered Kraftwerk's Radioactivity on a live album). They didn't. Their show was 45+ minutes of blissful dark ambient drones with beats and fantastic video.Only two of the three members were there. One guy ran the beats and drones from his laptop. His counterpart had a table full of equipment to add noise to the mix. They were very into what they were playing, especially the guy on the laptop. He reminded me of some DJs (myself included) when they hit the right beats, step back from the console in triumph, and do a little dance. He did this regularly. It made me smile.Something I had not seen up to this point by any of the artists was good video. Theirs consisted of loops of very large creepy fluorescent people doing creepy stuff, like two frowning Asian women eternally dancing (or fighting) with each other. The images may not have been earth-shattering, but they were interesting, engaging, and went well with enhancing the music experience.
