I was so bummed I wasn't able to catch Flint Glass at WGT 05; it was not an option to miss his performance a second time. It was just Gwenn Trémorin on stage with a laptop performing music with a great video behind him.

The music was his special brand of dark electronics varying from dark ambient to powernoise. It was nice to hear some ambient pieces from Nyarlathotep fill in the spaces between tracks to give the listener a non-Euclidean corridor from one song to another. I like it when performers play several songs or entire sets without pause. It allows them to bring the audience on a journey where each song is like an act in a play. At one point near the end of the set, I swore he played a cover of Mlada Fronta's Xe 131.3, but I have searched through all their releases and cannot find any mention of this. It was probably the most dance-friendly in the set with its pounding beats overlaid with static.

The video in the back was pleasing to my eyes. They all looked like Lovecraft or Lovecraft-inspired films. The music was a perfect match for it. How could it not be if he released an album named after the Crawling Chaos where all the song titles relate to Lovecraft's Mythos?

After waiting all of these years, my expectations were met and exceeded!
